Most popular posts of 2012 include 2 Paula Deen recipes and a Bobby Deen recipe as well. I started the blog in July of 2012 and am pretty amazed by how many times the posts have been viewed. Thank you to everyone for reading. I look forward to sharing many more celebrity chef recipes in the upcoming year.

The results may be a little skewed because some recipes have been on the site longer than others but the top posts don’t just have a few more views, they have a lot more. The top 3 posts are the most popular for the year and for last month as well.

The biggest surprise for me was the popularity of the recipe roundup with Crescent roll recipes by fellow bloggers. I think it’s because the food photos all look so delicious.

Let’s do this in countdown style, here are the top 6 post of 2012 starting with number 6:

Number 6: Bobby Deen’s Goulash recipe
Number 5: Join the Mommy Blog Boards on Pinterest
.
Number 4: Carla Hall’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie recipe
Number 3:Paula Deen’s BBQ Chicken recipe, adapted for the Crockpot
Number 2: Crescent Roll Recipes by bloggers
Paula Deen's Breakfast Griddle Recipe
And the number 1 post: Paula Deen’s Breakfast Griddle recipe

I would like to take a moment to thank two outstanding bloggers that have inspired me to take the blog seriously and at the same time not take myself too seriously. Thanks so much Amy at While Wearing Heels and Nicole at Wonky Wonderful. You guys have both made a profound difference in the way I view this blog and the people who take the time to read it (or just pin the pretty pictures!). Thanks for taking the time not only to read and leave comments but also for the personal emails with thoughtful and encouraging ideas. You have meant more to me than you know. Thank you so much.
I appreciate all of you for reading the blog, leaving comments, and pinning your favorite recipes. Thanks for all the great comments and emails. I look forward to continuing the blog in 2013 and making this the best year yet. Best wishes for a great new year :) Di
***Update: For some reason, during the move from Blogger to WordPress, I lost this lovely comment. It shows up in my comment list but not on the page, I’ve tried everything but just doesn’t work. Didn’t want to let such a sweet note disappear, so I’m pasting it into the post.

What a lovely surprise, to 1. see a new blog post up. I adore seeing your recipes so I always smile as I am notified you have a new post up. AND 2. seeing your group pin board post was in the top 6. I don’t often pin my own pins but I do on your pin board. Thank you for giving me an outlet to pin my own pins. AND 3. Thank you so much for the wonderful shout out. I appreciate your wonderful comments and your friendship as well. It’s hard to believe you’ve only been blogging since July. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for our bellies in 2013 :)
