Classic Rum Daiquiri

Classic Rum Daiquiri

Here’s a cocktail that’s sure to please, a Classic Rum Daiquiri, made with lime. Daiquiris don’t just come in the strawberry variety, although I love those, too!

The last time I asked for a vote on making drinks for the blog, I got a big fat yes! It seems many of you like “adult beverages” as much as I do;)

I’ve made this classic cocktail many times. I love it because you can control the amount of sugar you put in, which is great because not everyone likes a real sweet drink. Make this cocktail your own by adding sugar til it’s “just right” for you.

You can use real limes for this recipe, but if you don’t have them and all you have are those little plastic limes with juice inside (like me, most of the time!), don’t stress, you can use any lime juice you have.

The above recipe is for one, but feel free to double it and enjoy with a friend (or have your second one ready!).

If you like, you can make up a pitcher of these instead of just one. Mix lime juice, sugar and water together in a pitcher, then pour a shot in your glass, add ice and juice mixture and stir or shake well. Here is another easy recipe for a whole pitcher of classic daiquiris (with measurements), made almost the same way as above.

Bottoms up!
